Standards set by Fear Free Sheltering are followed by Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter. In order to lessen factors like stress, anxiety, and fear, this approach prioritizes the experiences of animals in the shelter. While some aspects are more subtle than others, certain things are clear (such lowering the sounds of loud, abrupt noises) (limiting who is walking past cages)

Current active rescues that work with weimaraners are Senior Moments or the Great Lakes Weimaraner Rescue. I'm your point of contact for returning the Weimaraner if it was previously adopted from MWR, and I'll work to find them new home.

Our goal is to link benevolent individuals with animals in need. a neighborhood where all animals have loved homes and are respected and cared for.

We all had the opportunity to contribute by using our individual strengths; collectively, we cleaned cages, did laundry, handled office and clerical tasks, sorted cat treats, gave out prescriptions, and of course, socialized the cats and kittens.
