Lillie Goodrich and John Andersen founded Glen Highland in January 2001. It is a 501c3 non-profit organization. For Border Collies older than 10, Glen Highland conducts a sanctuary and adoption program. A

Whatever the cause, we offer them emergency services including food, shelter, and medical attention. At any given time, we can house a maximum of 35 dogs and 70 cats. Additionally, we make every effort to find our residents new, permanent residences. Every year, we place about 200 cats and dogs for adoption.

We are a small rescue organization in the New York region that solely saves dogs from southern rescues and high kill shelters. This indicates that the majority of canines admitted there are put to sleep because of a shortage of room. We hardly ever accept owner surrenders, and we only get animals from the shelters we have been working with for years.

Through outreach and compassion, the Humane Society of Livingston County will aim to end animal abuse, reduce animal overpopulation, and lessen animal suffering in our neighborhood.

Super Heroes Humane Society (formerly Super Heroes In Ripped Jeans) was established in response to the overwhelming need for affordable spay/neuter programs and a pet food pantry in the neighborhood.

In 2006, Wayward Paws, Inc. was established. We are a tiny, volunteer-run rescue and adoption organization that works assiduously to place unwanted cats and kittens with loving permanent homes.
