The Huron County Humane Society's mission is to help Huron County citizens by upholding clean, safe, and compassionate environment that facilitates the medical care of animals in need, ultimately enhancing homes via the adoption of healthy, contented, and flourishing animals.

Our goal is to give dogs and cats a secure, short-term home before finding them new, devoted, "forever" homes.

Thanks for visiting Safe Harbor Animal Rescue! We are a 501c3 non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide pets with another shot at a fulfilling existence. Although we mostly rescue Shiba Inus, we occasionally also rescue dogs of other breeds.

Every dog deserves a second chance, according to OASIS, and the key to long-term success is educating others about animal care practices.
