Noah's Animal House

In 2005, while serving on the board of the Las Vegas Shade Tree Shelter, I received a call that forever altered both my life and the lives of several voiceless victims. In order to speak with a new client who wouldn't check in to the facility, the Executive Director asked if I could come right away to the shelter. A young woman holding her one genuine friend in life—a cat carrier—and a rubbish bag full of clothes—her only possessions—was standing there waiting for me.
