People for Animals, Inc.'s goal is to stop animal suffering through accessible, necessary healthcare, campaigning for public policy, and community initiatives.

There is nothing like the Shake A Paw Rescue and Adoption Center in the adoption industry. We accept canine surrenders from the general public and rescue homeless, abandoned, and unwanted dogs from our state-of-the-art Shake A Paw animal shelter, which is housed inside our Shake A Paw store.

The Hudson County Animal League is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1994. Every donation is tax deductible. As an adoption agency, we have received approval from the State of New Jersey Department of Health.

Visit our animal shelter to meet the adoptable, friendly animals we have there. Please assist us in finding loving and caring homes for these animals, who are in great need of them.

Locating homes for geriatric and adult German Shepherds, offering assistance to northeast rescues, and occasionally pondering the connection between life and rescue.
