Pope Memorial Humane Society-Cochecho Valley (PMHS-CV), a community-supported, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, is committed to promoting the humane treatment of animals in Strafford County, New Hampshire, and Southern Maine. We provide a safe, temporary home for more than 1,000 surrendered, lost, abused, neglected, or unwanted animals each year.

Above the Notch is a non-profit humane society that serves the New Hampshire communities of Littleton, Bethlehem, Franconia, Sugar Hill, Easton, and Lisbon. It is based in the White Mountain region of the state. ATNHS works to support local animal shelters and rescue groups by helping with their operations and programs, as well as by giving needy animals food, shelter, socialization, and veterinary treatment, as well as by educating the public about animal care and encouraging adoptions.
