Animal Control is responsible for organizing and promoting the adoption of stray and unwanted animals as well as housing them in a clean and secure environment.

We are a tiny, volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare. We protect cats and dogs from cruelty, abuse, and neglect. Serving Northwest Indiana-Lake County, we collaborate closely with the management of local shelter, area veterinarians, and local residents.

The Gary Animal Control Center is a shelter for dogs and cats in Lake County that offers temporary home and care for stray, unwanted, and owner-renounced animals. It is situated in Gary, Indiana.
