Isabella County Animal Shelter

A 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization serving the Mid-Michigan region, The Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS) is independently run and dedicated to the welfare of animals. At the Isabella County Animal Control facility, HATS is the only company with a contract to handle all animal care and adoption services.

The Isabella County Animal Shelter is run by the Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS), who is also in charge of overseeing the housing, care, and adoption of shelter animals.

Mystie Beckwith, an animal lover and cat aficionado, launched Karma Kat Cafe in 2018. Over 900 cats have been saved by Karma Kat since it was founded, and counting!

In and around Gratiot County, Michigan, G.A.I.N volunteers have been working since 2014 to better the lives of companion animals and roaming or feral cats.

For all types of stray animals, Northwoods Animal Rescue offers first-rate care. All types of animals can be handled by our staff members. We firmly think that helping to care for any unwanted animals we come across is our duty.
