Humane Society of the Palouse

The goal of the Lewis Clark Animal Shelter is to address pet overpopulation through a vigorous spay/neuter program, promote humane treatment of animals, prevent cruelty to animals, and give education to strengthen the human-animal link.

Each year, the Kootenai Humane Society saves and adopts out more than 2,000 animals. We never set a time restriction on how long cats, dogs, and other pets can stay at our shelter thanks to our No-Kill Philosophy.

While you are with us, we will care for all of your medical needs, give you the structure and instruction you need to succeed, love and protect you, and most importantly, treat you as one of our own.
