Burke County Friends for Animals

Reuniting these animals with their owners is our first priority. All adoptable animals should be placed in acceptable homes or sent to rescue organizations where they can be adopted if they are not returned to their owners.

The animal control officer collaborates closely with other organizations that provide animal services, such as Burke Friends for Animals and the Burke County Sheriff's Office Animal Shelter (Humane Society of Burke County).

The adoption cost for all dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens is $75.00 at Caldwell County Animal Control.

The goal of HSCC is to advance animal welfare in our neighborhood by offering homeless pets a place to stay and compassionate care. We also lead the way in our area for low-cost spay/neuter programs, animal welfare awareness campaigns, and adoption services.

The Animal Shelter is governed by the Public Works Department. The shelter takes in unwanted or stray animals and acts as an adoption center for those that can be adopted.

The purpose of Mitchell County Animal Rescue is to protect, rescue, and care for unwanted and abandoned animals; to raise awareness of the value of spaying and neutering in lowering the number of stray animals; to rehome animals; and to instruct young people in the humane treatment of animals.
