Lawrence County Animal Rescue

Over 1,400 dogs and cats were taken in by us in 2020, and we worked to find them homes through adoption or transportation to other shelters, where they did. Additionally, we provided financial support for the spaying and neutering of approximately 240 owned and stray animals in the tri-county region.

Animal shelters not only help the neighborhood by removing stray dogs and cats from the streets, but they also give needy animals a vital service.

A limited intake nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization run entirely by volunteers, Copiah Animal Refuge offers temporary shelter and medical care to stray and abandoned animals until arrangements can be made for their adoption into loving homes.
