Anyone who has lost or found a pet should notify the shelter right away. The staff at the Monroe County Animal Shelter makes an effort to return lost animals to their owners. We want to find homes for as many stray animals as we can, but we don't have a lot of money. We gratefully accept monetary gifts or donations of materials. (To inquire about current requirements, call the shelter.) The public's involvement is strongly valued, and guests are welcome at the shelter!

Andalusia Animal Shelter

We are a 501c3 organization that is run by the Andalusia City Police Department. Since we don't get much funding or support, we depend on the assistance of the public to keep doing what's best and most beneficial for everyone. We welcome donations of a variety of goods, as well as any cash contributions you are able to provide. We work hard to inform the public on ethical pet ownership, including the necessity of spaying and neutering. All animals are neutered or spayed before being adopted from our facility.
