Bosney Densmore Animal Shelter

The Jefferson County Humane Society (JCHS), one of the oldest charitable organizations in our area, was first formed in 1915. It was created to be an advocate for Jefferson County's animals and at that time, before children's services programs, it was also an advocate for children. Children's Services and the Humane Society still have a reporting and information-sharing agreement in place.

We are a non-profit organization, and neither local, state, nor federal taxes are used to directly support us. We do not receive any financial assistance from local or national animal welfare organizations.

A "quality of life" refuge for abandoned and mistreated animals in the Ohio Valley is called Hounds' Haven.

The HCDP Volunteers is a 501c3 organization that helps better the life of the dogs staying at the Harrison County Dog Pound in Cadiz, OH.

The mission of the nonprofit BCHS is to end all forms of animal exploitation. In collaboration with other organizations, BCHS will offer assistance for adoption into a forever loving home.

We are largely focused on the Columbiana county area of Ohio and East Liverpool. Catlantis Cat Sanctuary and Rescue is a 501c3 cat rescue and sanctuary for homeless, injured, and unwanted cats and kittens.
