Our refuge is the realization of Connie Smith's lifelong ambition. She recognized the need for a rescue for unwanted and stray dogs and cats as a former humane agent.

We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. We are so obsessed with cats that we are kind of renowned around here! We are a no-kill animal sanctuary that runs solely on donations from the public and NEVER gives up on the animals under our care.

We accommodate dogs that have been abandoned, mistreated, or stray at the Clark County Dog Shelter, the county's municipal shelter.

All volunteers make up Peace for Paws Ohio. Our organization is run by a network of foster families and a very committed group of volunteers.

We are a self-funded rescue that assists in finding permanent homes for Corgis, Cattle Dogs, and mixtures of the two breeds.
