RESCUE, REHABILITATE, RE-HOME Our goal is to save, care for, and place abandoned animals in new homes in order to decrease euthanasia.

Our goal is to give severely abused, unwanted, or neglected animals a loving permanent home. To give our animals more room, we changed where we were. Goats, cows, pigs, chickens, horses, donkeys, ducks, sheep, turkeys, llamas, dogs, and rabbits all call our farm animal sanctuary home.

A private nonprofit organization called Lake City Humane Society was established in late 1964 to address problems with animal welfare in our neighborhood.

We are a nonprofit, 501c3 cat rescue. When space and resources allow, we rescue, rehome, and treat sick cats.

Because the Gainesville community already cherishes these same ideals, the mission of Haile's Angels has struck a deep chord with our supporters. The closure of HAPR doesn't alter that.

The Alachua County Humane Society, Gainesville Pet Rescue, and Helping Hands Pet Rescue leadership chose to permanently join forces in 2018, which resulted in the formation of the Humane Society of North Central Florida.
