Animal Care Society

A small, family-run, nonprofit rescue, Noah's Ark Animal Rescue operates out of its home.

We are a 501c3 non-profit, foster-based rescue organization that works with the neighborhood to assist unwanted or abandoned animals in need.

The Middle Peninsula's towns are served by the open-admission, nonprofit Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society (GMHS).

The only municipal shelter with open access in Middlesex County is the Middlesex County Animal Shelter. We take in stray animals that are in need, owner-returned dogs whose owners can no longer care for them, and animals that Animal Control has confiscated or brought into custody.

Our goal for these animals is a safe place that will offer them food, shelter, medical attention, rehabilitation, adoption opportunities, and most importantly, love. Poquoson Animal Welfare Sanctuary, Inc. is committed to the rescue and placement of abandoned, abused, and neglected cats in and around Poquoson, VA.

Our goal is to help the community with issues related to animal care, including troubled, neglected, and dangerous animals. County and state laws are enforced by us.
