Marion Animal Control

In 1956, the Humane Society of Southern Illinois was established. We are a relatively modest 501c3, non-profit institution that provides public access and serves as the holding facility for all of Jackson County Animal Control. We take any animal that is given to us by the public.

Until they can be adopted into a compassionate home where they will be cared for in a secure and humane environment for the remainder of their natural lives, we offer shelter and veterinary care to lost, unwanted, and abandoned animals.

A 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, Wright-Way Rescue. Our goal is to decrease the annual number of homeless pets put to death in the Midwest through an adoption program, community outreach, support for spaying and neutering, and a veterinary medicine program.

Animal Welfare Society, Inc. (PAWS) is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization that rescues and makes homeless and unwanted animals available for adoption.

More than 3,500 dogs, cats, and other animals have been taken in by our facility. Most of these animals are young, wholesome pets that are happy to find a new home.

Our goal is to give our animals every day of high-quality care until they find their forever home.
