The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley's mission is to advance animal welfare in greater Washington County, Ohio, in the following ways.

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit supporting Monroe County's residents and animals. Every position is unpaid. We receive no monetary support from state, federal or local entities.

Many stray dogs that are picked up after the 72-hour waiting period at the pound are placed into foster homes by S.P.O.T. in collaboration with Morgan County's dog warden.

A charitable 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to animal welfare, the Athens County Humane Society (ACHS) is situated in Athens, Ohio. We work to guarantee the best possible treatment, care, and placement of animals in need by offering affordable spay/neuter treatments, employing the county Humane Agent, and other measures.

Collaborating with the Athens neighborhood to give stray, surrendered, or abandoned dogs a somewhere to stay, food, and love until suitable homes can be located. to end canine abuse, neglect, and cruelty in Athens County and its environs.

Our county shelter is in Ohio's Meigs county. Dog license sales and donations provide the majority of the money we need to operate.
