Shadow was a cherished family pet and close friend. After he was discovered abandoned at the age of 15, tied to a tree, we adopted him. To pay tribute to Shadow and preserve a portion of his enormous heart, we established Shadow's Fund.

Since 1987, Santa Barbara County and the non-profit Companion Animal Placement Assistance (CAPA) have worked together in Lompoc to save lives. Providing the finest care possible for the animals is our goal at Santa Barbara County Animal Services.

Dog fostering is encouraged by the Santa Barbara County Animal Services in order to make room for a renovation project in Santa Maria.

Old Yeller Ranch Rescue is committed to rescuing needy dogs from Californian shelters.

Additionally, we have specialized isolation facilities and are authorized to rescue fawns. Domestic pets may also occasionally be fostered until they may find a loving forever home.
