Stafford Animal Shelter

Our goal is to provide loving shelter for the abandoned and stray animals pets from the Madison and Gallatin Valleys, and to improve both human and animal companions' lives via pet adoption and instruction.

By arranging adoptions, reconnecting lost pets, providing free or inexpensive spay and neuter procedures, educating kids compassion and kindness, and helping to feed starving animals, BHA aims to build a more compassionate community for both pets and people.

It all began with a request for assistance and a group of supporters of cats coming together. Today, the Wild About Cats Rescue and Sanctuary is a modest but significant component of Helena, Montana's animal welfare community.

Adopt GSPs and other pointing breeds from animal shelters in Montana and neighboring areas. While they're becoming retrained, provide them a loving and caring home.

The City's companion animals were first housed at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, which was formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in 2007. The Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter (YVAS) is not a branch of the City of Billings, despite what many people believe.
