League City Animal Control

The main goal of the City of Webster Animal Control is to preserve the public's health, safety, and welfare within the city limits by managing the animal population and setting consistent guidelines for rabies eradication and control.

We advocate for and defend the welfare, safety, and health of both people and animals. We hope for a time when animals are cherished and independent of human care.

The Animal Control Division is in charge of enforcing the Animal Code, which includes the management of dangerous or aggressive animals, the impoundment of stray animals, the provision of humane animal traps for resident use, the transfer of caught animals, and rabies monitoring and control.

Public Works shares a building with the Seabrook Animal Shelter and Adoption Center at 1100 Red Bluff Road.

In order to house, feed, and provide medical care for the dogs and cats accepted into our adoption program, Bay Area Pet Adoptions, a non-profit, 501(c)3 No-Kill shelter, pet rescue, and adoption organization, depends on donations from the general public.
