Animal Control manages and confines stray, injured, or missing animals inside the city borders. maintains the animal shelter and every animal under its care, including a successful program for rescue and adoption.

To ensure the general health and safety of Bell County's residents, it is crucial and required to handle stray, sick, and hazardous animals. The Bell County Animal Shelter was established to manage unwanted and sick animals and to advance the welfare of all animals.

To support animal shelters and rescue organizations through food drives, articles in our magazine, Pet Adoption Extravaganza, and radio broadcasts.

The City of Lampasas and the County of Lampasas joined together to create the Lampasas Animal Shelter to house abandoned and unwanted animals.
