Kalamazoo Humane Society | Animal Care & Resource Center

We are a non-profit, all-volunteer group that was established in 1991. We are committed to giving homeless, stray, and unwanted cats and dogs in Kalamazoo County a safe haven and finding them new, loving homes.

We are grateful to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation for supporting our mission in Kalamazoo County with a grant. Support from the foundation has specifically been given for the following three deliverables:

A Cat Cafe is a location where people may socialize with adoptable shelter cats in a relaxed, enjoyable setting while sipping refreshments (included with entry fee).

The SPCA of Southwest Michigan is a no-kill facility committed to promoting animal welfare and fostering an adoption-oriented culture in Southwest Michigan. Our mission is to put an end to the needless killing of animals in SW Michigan and to find loving, caring homes for every animal.
