The Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center offers a range of animal-related services to residents of Iowa City, Coralville, University Heights, the University of Iowa, and unincorporated Johnson County, including

Our goal is to facilitate successful pet adoptions, serve and protect the animals and people in our community with compassion through education and enforcement, and to respect and strive to improve the quality of life for both people and animals.

To encourage and offer high-quality, reasonably priced spay and neuter services for animals in order to reduce the number of companion animals in Eastern Iowa.

FOA accepts strays and owner-returned animals. We accept animals of all ages, including adults who have outgrown their puppy or kitten cuteness as well as animals with special needs and senior pets in search of forever homes to live out their lives.

The goal of Safe Haven is to find suitable homes for dogs and cats in Iowa County while also rescuing, defending, and rehabilitating them. Second, through public outreach and the support of low-cost or free spay and neuter programs, to drastically reduce the number of stray dogs and cats and enhance both human and animal quality of life.

By finding them loving, permanent homes, Cedar Rapids' SAINT Rescue & Adoption Center is committed to enhancing the lives of our homeless cats.
