Jackson County Regional Animal Shelter

Old dogs who have been abandoned can find safety at Shep's Place Senior Dog Sanctuary in the Kansas City region. It is named after Shep, a rescue beagle whose kind nature and unwavering goodness inspired his owners to start a facility to assist others who are in need.

A group of devoted volunteers support our project on a voluntary basis. We now offer Animal Control services for the City of Blue Springs, Missouri, thanks to our service expansion in 2022.

TARA is a non-profit 501c3 organization made up entirely of volunteers that works to aid stray animals in the Greater Kansas City area. A coalition of rescuers in the Kansas City area came together with the same mission—to put an end to animal suffering and homelessness—to form our organization.

Midwest Animal ResQ (MARQ) was established in 2009 as a tiny foster-based rescue organization with the goal of rescuing dogs from cruel treatment at nearby industrial-scale breeding facilities.

Provide assistance to KC's homeless animals. Dogs in need are given shelter by KC Woof Pack. Forgotten and fearful pets need rescue and rehabilitation.
