Humane Society of Henderson County

a no-kill, nonprofit shelter. We ADOPT OUT homeless canines and felines with mandatory spaying/neutering and microchipping. We provide BOARDING as well as BATHS.

Sheltering, adoption, education, spaying/neutering, and community outreach can all help animals in need.

In the county shelter, only dogs are impounded. The shelter can only hold the animals for a certain amount of time due to the volume of animals it receives.

With a focus on public safety, Daviess County Animal Care & Control encourages and supports responsible pet ownership.

The Owensboro-Daviess County Humane Society was founded on the principle that all people have a duty to treat all living things with respect. In order to achieve this, we work to enhance the quality of life, health, and habitat for abandoned, mistreated, and neglected animals in the Owensboro-Daviess county region.

Local, nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue is SparKy. Utilizing foster homes to host the animals is a novel method to animal rescue. The animals are given a loving environment in these foster homes where all of their needs are met.
