Burlington Animal Services is a division of the City of Burlington that offers public animal sheltering and pet adoption services to the entire county of Alamance in addition to enforcing laws governing animal issues in the City of Burlington.

The Humane Society of Alamance County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare whose mission is to work in collaboration with our local community to foster compassionate citizenship through education and community outreach, enrich companion animal lives, and encourage responsible pet ownership. Our goal is to change how society views companion animals by promoting adoption, spay and neuter initiatives, and humane education.

Our adoption center takes in cats and dogs from the county shelters in the area and cares for them in our adoption center until their everlasting homes can be found.

We began working toward our goal of saving animals in late 2015, and we have already saved over 25 animals.

Animal Control and Animal Sheltering operations in Orange County are handled by the Animal Services Department. Its goal is to provide affordable, integrated sheltering and animal management services that safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of people, pets, and the community at large while also meeting the requirements of the locals.
