Ausable Valley Animal Shelter

The Donald Reece Animal Shelter served as the foundation stone for the establishment of the Otsego County Animal Control Department in 1974. The director of animal control is in charge of managing the staff and the shelter's general operations. The County Administrator is the Director's superior.

Our objective is to instill compassion toward these creatures as well as compassion for people unable to care for them. "The Roscommon County Animal Shelter and Animal Control are dedicated to the care and humane treatment of all animals found stray, abandoned, or surrendured in Roscommon County."

The Help From My Friends' Pet Catastrophe Center helps Antrim County by accepting mainly owner-returned pets as a result of a family crisis. These pets originated from loving homes, but when their owners were left with no other choices, they were forced to give up their pet (s).

In 1989, volunteers made the decision to convert a piece of a property for the non-profit care of dogs and cats. They needed a lot of help from friends, family, and community members who had a variety of abilities, so doing this was not simple. Consequently, this shelter was constructed.

Elk Country Animal Shelter is dedicated to offering a loving home for animals in need of adoption, advocating for companion animals, and promoting awareness of good pet care and the need to reduce the number of unwanted animals in society.
