The third-largest poodle rescue in the US is NorCal Poodle Rescue. We have been saving and rehoming poodles and poodle mix since 1985.

A well-known non-profit animal rescue organization in California is called Friends of the Formerly Friendless. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are acknowledged by the State of California and the Internal Revenue Service. All donations are fully deductible from taxes to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Before they are put to death, we want to find abandoned dogs loving homes. As our resources permit, we rescue Chow Chows, Chow mixes, and other worthy canines.

We are a dog rescue group that is committed to assisting all dogs, regardless of where they are from. Numerous dogs are being purchased, sold, and traded to the incorrect parties, who frequently use them as breeding stock.

We work to promote responsible pet ownership among the general public and safeguard public health and safety.

In 2003, a barn and a few stray cats were the beginning of it all. Sisters Jann Flanagan and Joy Smith's mission to save cats became known. The sisters started "FieldHaven Feline Rescue," a shelter for neighborhood cats and kittens until they were adopted, operating out of a trailer on a private horse ranch in a remote area of Lincoln, California. One of the many things that sets FieldHaven apart is its ranch setting.
