Shelter Animals Advocates

A private, non-profit organization established under IRS Section 501c3, the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare was founded in 1935. For more than 85 years, we have found loving, permanent homes for thousands of abandoned and mistreated animals.

Aiken, South Carolina's Almost Home Wellness Center (AHWC) is a recently finished 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that collaborates with Berkeley Heights, New Jersey's Home For Good Dog Rescue.

Our primary goal is to save hospice animals of any age that will stay with us until they reach the end of their lives. For weeks, months, or even years, some of these animals may live with us.

The Barnwell County Animal Shelter's adoptable animals are saved by the Animal Advocates from being put to death. Our policy prohibits us from taking in animals from the general population.
