Stealing Hearts Rescue

We work hard to provide the countless homeless companion animals that need our assistance finding loving, permanent families with comfortable, temporary accommodation, medical attention and immunizations, nutritious food, and companionship.

A request for assistance was sent to Phoenix, Arizona's (Maricopa County) Saving Paws Rescue via email on January 31, 2013, saying that many German Shepherds were in urgent need of assistance. The property was on more than 300 acres in the middle of the desert in La Paz County. The GSDs were reportedly living in appalling conditions, and it was claimed that the breeder had been booted off the site. In the end, 26 German Shepherds were saved by SPR.

On a lovely 5 acre hilltop ranch in New River, Arizona, our cats are free to explore. At any time, they can decide whether to spend their time inside the main home or outside on the 5 acres.

This organization was started by passionate volunteers who wanted to improve the quality of life for companion animals in Maricopa County. Our goal for the dogs in our care has remained to provide a second opportunity for those that have been mistreated, left behind, or forgotten.
