Our goal is to make it easier for homeless dogs and cats to adjust to a home environment through training, socialization, and improved circumstances.

Our goal is to support spay-neuter clinics, provide outreach resources for animals in need, and encourage the relationship between people and animals through community outreach and education.

The Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center and the Don and Karen LaRocca Pet Wellness Center are part of North Shore Animal League America's Pet Health Centers.

With the creation of regional, national, and international initiatives that boost adoptions and enhance public awareness of the problem of homeless animals, North Shore Animal League America has continued to set the bar high.

Senior Vice President of Operations Joanne Yohannan and our national spokesperson Beth Stern explored the problems with feline homelessness and what we may do to alleviate them in 2013.

The Shelter Connection, a non-profit volunteer group at the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter, was founded in 1999. Our goal is to boost adoptions through training and socializing the dogs at the shelter and enhance their quality of life in collaboration with the Town.
