Cherokee County Animal Shelter

Although they are three separate organizations, Cherokee County Animal Control, the Cherokee County Animal Shelter, and the Humane Society of Cherokee County collaborate.

A 501(c)3 organization called the Humane Society of Cherokee County was founded with the mission of preserving the lives of unwanted and abandoned animals in the county.

A 501c3 Non-Profit Organization called Pawsome Rescue Project Inc. provides rescue, rehabilitation, and then helps locate suitable homes for animals.

Using professionally trained search K-9s, the South Carolina Search and Rescue Dog Association (SCSARDA) is a group of professionals who devote their time and resources to finding the lost and missing.

Serving the County of Spartanburg Since 1964. For both pets and pet owners, we provide a range of services and programs. The Spartanburg Humane Society has evolved to develop proactive strategies aimed at combating the root causes of subpar animal care and thousands of unwanted animals. While our mission remains focused on providing excellent shelter and care to homeless animals in need, we have expanded our efforts to address these issues.
