A non-profit group called the Dodge County Humane Society (DCHS) provides care for hundreds of animals in the area every year. You can always expect on seeing our animals at the activities we participate in in Fremont and the neighborhood! As a non-profit, DCHS depends on and is very appreciative of our kind donors.

Animal rescue organization FurEver Home, Inc. is based in Fremont, Nebraska. Through adoptions, fostering, owner assistance, training, and education, our team of volunteers is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for both pets and their owners.

9. Woof Animal Rescue

A nonprofit dedicated to saving animals in Northern California, WOOF Animal Rescue is 100% volunteer-run. WOOF has successfully placed many dogs in great forever homes after rescuing them from high-kill shelters with the aid of our volunteers.

The Tri-City Animal Shelter, which houses animals from Fremont, Union City, and Newark, is run by the Animal Services Unit of the Fremont Police Department. Animal Services Officers in Union City and Newark respond to complaints about animals in their respective cities.
