Humane Society Of The Flint Hills

The Humane Society of the Flint Hills exclusively manages the Emporia Animal Shelter under a contract with the City of Emporia. We have fewer than 50 euthanasias per year for the past seven or more years and are inside the no kill shelter percentile.

In Topeka and Shawnee County, "We're the place for you to reclaim lost pets, adopt a new pet, bring in stray animals/pets you can no longer care for, shop for pet supplies, attend dog training classes, and more!"

We have built a place where cat lovers can congregate. We hope that we have been successful in creating a happy, welcoming environment where members of the public, volunteers, and C.A.T. supporters want to visit and feel welcomed.

The mission of Prairie Paws Animal Shelter is to give animals in need compassionate care and placement.

In El Dorado, Kansas, we are a facility for stray and unwanted animals; we accept cats and dogs from anywhere inside the municipal limits, but we can only accept dogs from Rural Butler.

We help the people of Fort Riley find their missing pets and place abandoned and unclaimed animals for adoption.
