In order to examine and stabilize the physical and emotional needs of Boston Terriers and Boston Terrier mixes in need and find them the finest possible homes, Birmingham Boston Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization. In an effort to keep these dogs from ever needing rescue, we offer advice and assistance to pet owners. Finally, in order to save animals and promote humane treatment of animals, we collaborate with other rescue groups, shelters, and other like-minded organizations.

We work to inform, create awareness, and help animals in Morgan County, Alabama, and the neighboring areas as the first No-Kill Shelter in our area. We have served as the final resort for animals that municipal Animal Services have deemed to be euthanized for the past 14 years. We adopt them, give them care, and adore them before locating their perfect homes.

Pet enthusiasts can find the pet that best suits their needs while relaxing in front of their laptops. They can then look up a shelter's website to learn more about the services it provides. To assist in keeping pets in their homes, Petfinder also offers discussion boards, a directory of pet-care providers, and a library of free pet-care materials.

Animal control officials in Athens and Limestone County, as well as residents who find stray animals or can no longer care for their pets, bring nearly 4,000 dogs and cats to the Athens Limestone Animal Shelter every year. Every attempt is made to find each and every adoptable dog and cat loving, forever homes as well as to reconnect missing animals with their family.

Most of the dogs we rescue are little breeds like chihuahuas. For more than 20 years, we have been saving and nurturing dogs. Our mission is to locate animals who have no home or a poor start in life and find them a caring forever home.

We have the ambitious but doable aim of saving every homeless animal in Alabama...by lowering the number of animals put to death in shelters and lowering the number of animals living on the streets in Alabama's neighborhoods. They all deserve our assistance!
