Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit (FAMD) doesn't simply rescue dogs and cats; we also create life-changing relationships with the individuals who adopt them, adding a bit more love to the world by recognizing the unique connection between an animal and their "human."

501 (C)(3) nonprofit All About Animals Rescue is committed to No More Homeless Pets and the avoidance of the euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals by offering affordable wellness care and spaying/neutering for cats and dogs.

The rebuilt shelter is now highly rescue friendly, but it is still small. RRAS is a city municipal animal shelter that only accepts animals from River Rouge and Ecorse, Michigan, in the United States.

We save pets that have been abandoned or turned over to veterinary offices for a variety of reasons, including as age, illness, and behavior (mostly cats and dogs).
