The care and disposal of abandoned and homeless animals brought to the shelter by law enforcement officials or local residents is handled by NEGAS. The animals will get compassionate treatment and care while they are housed at the shelter, pending their owner's recovery, adoption, rescue, or, if necessary, euthanasia.

The rights of complainants and alleged offenders are safeguarded, the public is educated about ethical pet keeping, and the organization serves the public.
