The Valley Animal Center, which also has a low-cost spay/neuter & immunization facility that is accessible to the public and a membership-based dog park, is the largest non-profit, no-kill cat and dog adoption center in the Central Valley.

A group of locals in Fresno, California, founded Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) in 1998 because they wanted to do something about the large number of stray dogs who were dying since no one gave them an opportunity to find their forever home.

FBR's role is to provide our bullies a safe, loving temporary home while we search for their forever homes. Additionally, FBR is dedicated to encouraging responsible ownership of bully breeds, combating breed prejudice, advocating pet spaying and neutering, reporting dog fighting, and proving to the public that bully breeds make excellent, devoted, and enduring friends.

To offer domestic animals a safe place through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary, regardless of breed or species. to foster the relationship between humans and animals and to speak out for the humane treatment of animals.
