The Humane Society of Charlotte

We are a multifaceted organization devoted to offering animal care services to the residents of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. We are a group that values collaborating with the community and creating a better world for both people who own animals and the animals themselves.

The 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue Precious Kittens Cat Rescue is led by Susan and a group of devoted fosters and volunteers who are dedicated to saving cats in need. Charlotte, North Carolina, is where we are situated.

To find new homes for pets whose owners have died or been unable to care for them.

We treat and rehome English Bulldogs that have been injured, neglected, abused, or sick. In addition, we offer owners who must make the already challenging choice of finding a new home for their English bulldog a safe alternative to shelters.

Only residents of the Town of Cornelius may surrender pets to the shelter. Those wishing to surrender should bring evidence of residency in the Town of Cornelius, any prior medical records, and $40 for the impoundment fee.

The objective of Cabarrus Pets Society, a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2002 and run entirely by volunteers, is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome mistreated, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats in the wider Cabarrus County area.
