Etowah County Animal Shelter

The staff will get in touch with the vet for the sterilization procedure as soon as a pet has been adopted. The staff will transport the animal to the veterinarian to be spayed or neutered and receive a rabies vaccination once the surgery date has been confirmed with the veterinarian. The sterilization procedure, rabies vaccine, and microchipping are all included in the adoption price. Some animals have previously undergone sterilization and immunizations. In these situations, you won't pay the adoption fee until your adoption is authorized.

Dr. James Isbell, a local veterinarian, and trustees Cindy Forsman, Pat Martin, Donna Parker, Mary Camp, Carroll Crane, Debbie Johnston, Matthew Gilbert, Elaine Gilbert, and Earl Garrett were among the HSPRAC's founding members. Sen. Malone fought for the creation of equitable and sufficient animal sheltering facilities for all communities through legislation that was passed on behalf of the state's animal shelters.
