Carroll County Animal Shelter

The Carroll County Humane Society is dedicated to keeping up its support for local pets and their families during this trying time.

The 501(c)3 non-profit Newnan-Coweta Humane Society (NCHS) was founded. Through education, encouraging the adoption of rescued animals into permanent homes, raising awareness of spay and neuter programs to reduce pet overpopulation, promoting respect for the lives of animals by establishing a no-kill philosophy, and serving as a leader in support of animal rights legislation, it is our mission to end animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect in our community.

We are a community outreach program in Douglas County, Georgia, helping residents with heartworm treatment, colony cat sterilization, pet food, and the adoption of cats from Douglas County Animal Services that have been spayed or neutered.

Our goal is to prevent the euthanasia of animals in Georgia's public animal shelters by saving, caring for, and placing them in loving homes, promoting population control through sterilization, and encouraging appropriate veterinary care.

We find homes for unwanted pets, give all the animals in our care humane treatment, inform the public about the issues involving abandoned, mistreated, and abused animals, and assist pet owners in keeping their pets by providing spay and neuter services, veterinary care, and other assistance as required.
