Dog Control is the county's only and principal unit agency/organization responsible for looking into cases of cruelty, neglect, and animal impoundment.

Providing safe, temporary or permanent homes for cats and dogs is the goal of the nonprofit organization Hill Hounds Rescue and Animal Sanctuary, Inc.
