Castoff Pet Rescue

We provide stray, abandoned, and unwanted animals homes; we inform the public about spaying and neutering; we lessen animal abuse and suffering; and we provide the animals with housing and medical care. We adopt out our animals to responsible, caring, and suitable households.

A small facility in Fannin County, Georgia is used to house stray and quarantined dogs.

The Humane Society of Blue Ridge (Georgia) strives to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals, to promote and provide community-wide spay and neutering at affordable rates, and to lower the number of feral cats in the area through our trap, neuter, and release program.

The organization's staff, which is entirely made up of volunteers, is committed to saving and rehabilitating homeless companion animals that have been abandoned, owner-rendered, or taken in from the county's high-kill shelters.

The goal of the Lumpkin County Animal Shelter is to strike a balance between the needs of people and animals in our county in terms of health, safety, and welfare.
