Berkeley Springs, West Virginia's Give Purrs a Chance is a non-profit cat adoption facility. We have the most cats available for adoption and the most square footage of any cat café in the nation. Since we first opened our doors in May 2017, we have had the pleasure of finding homes for more than 1,100 cats and kittens.

The goal of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia-based Six Paws Farm Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)3 non-profit farm animal sanctuary, is to give both large and small animals in need of food, housing, and medical attention. Through activism and education, we additionally advance the ethical treatment of animals.

The Bee Gees were at the top of the charts, Jimmy Carter was in office, and a gallon of gas cost 65 cents when we first opened our doors in 1978. Our structures have not moved with the times, and as a result, they are deteriorating. Our dog kennel and cat trailers have been repaired so many times that they are currently kept together by tar paper and faith.

A non-profit animal rescue group called Rescue Me West Virginia was established in 2017. The intention is to prevent dreadful outcomes, such as euthanasia, for unwanted and unloved dogs. In order to properly vet and care for these dogs until we find them a forever home through fostering and adoption programs, this requires volunteers and community donations. We support the animal shelters in the West Virginia counties of Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan and assist them in finding permanent homes for dogs in need.
