Ashtabula County Animal Protective League

The Harbor Cat Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) group managed entirely by volunteers that works to save neglected and abandoned cats in Ashtabula County.

Northeast Ohio-based Maddox and Friends is a 501c3 non-profit cat rescue that focuses on the rescue, treatment, and adoption of cats and kittens with medical issues.

The Ashtabula County Dog Warden is responsible for the gathering of stray dogs and, if feasible, the return of canines to their owners. In order to verify that dogs are under control and do not present a threat to the public, the Dog Warden also conducts interviews with dog owners who are breaking the law. Responding to complaints about dogs or owners breaking the law, the Dog Warden. The Dog Warden also looks into livestock claims, investigates dog bite instances that have been reported to the police, and verifies dog permits.

Holy Cat Whiskers is a 501-c3, non-profit organization funded exclusively by donations and fundraisers. Our company has been operating since 2005. A stray and feral cat rescue is Holy Cat Whiskers.

All strays that are brought to our shelter must be kept for four working days while their owners look for them. Prior to being made available for adoption, each dog must receive the all-clear from our veterinarian.

The Geauga County Dog Wardens are in charge of collecting stray dogs and handling dog complaints. Once the dogs are in the shelter, we take care of them until their owners come to get them or we find them a new forever home.
