Puppy Dog Ranch

We have indoor kennels, an adoption program, and a thrift store at the Village of Santa Clara Animal Shelter, which is located at the former fire department facility.

Through facility care, adoption, community education, and programs that address pet overpopulation, the High Desert Humane Society works to promote and provide humane and ethical treatment of companion animals.

The High Desert Animal Shelter's current location is at 3050 S. In 1998, Cougar Way in Silver City, New Mexico, 88061, was finished. The total amount of living area for all the animals under our care is about 3,000 square feet. There are separate areas set aside for stray animals, animals in quarantine, and adoptable dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. There are adjacent outdoor dog runs, as well as an outdoor cat run and an outdoor puppy run. A pet incinerator and a pet memorial garden are also on the property.

The Deming-Luna County Humane Society is in charge of running the Deming Animal Shelter, which is situated at 2135 Onate in Deming, New Mexico. We have provided community service to Deming-Luna County since 1967.

The Deming Animal Guardians Sunshine Haven Intake Project, or DAGSHIP for short, started construction and opened its doors in 2017. Since that time, Mike and Lisa have put in countless hours to build a cutting-edge center for animal rescue.

Our mission is to prevent animal cruelty, alleviate animal suffering, and broaden humane education. Our mission is guided by three community programs: Spay-Neuter, Spay-a-Stray, and Adopt-a-Pet Referral. Additionally, we are the owners and operators of Desert Haven Animal Refuge, a shelter for unwanted, neglected, and companion animals in Sierra County. Desert Haven Animal Refuge (DHAR) provides loving care for cats and dogs for the duration of their stay with us or until we are able to place them in a new loving and acceptable home.
