Cruces Cool Cat's goal is to provide food, medical care, socialization, and a nurturing environment for our community's homeless cats and kittens until we are able to find a "fur-ever" home for each adoptable cat.

APA is a forward-thinking animal welfare organization that aims to significantly reduce the quantity of unwanted animals impounded and put to death at the municipal shelter while also enhancing the quality of life for companion animals in Dona Ana County.

The Doa Ana County Humane Society is the first animal protection group in Las Cruces, having been established in 1955. We are a volunteer-run organization committed to enhancing companion animal welfare in our community. We accomplish this by working to change local laws and regulations governing animal welfare, managing initiatives that assist in keeping pets with their families and out of county/city shelters, promoting spay and neuter through financial support and marketing, and educating the general public about humane practices.

Each year, shelters put down thousands of animals. By having our devoted companion animals spayed or neutered, we can lower the number of animals put to death.

We are the first permanent cat-only adoption facility in Las Cruces. Cats of various ages, shapes, sizes, and colors can be found here.

A joint powers agreement between the governing bodies of the City of Las Cruces (City) and Doa Ana County resulted in the establishment of the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley (ASCMV) in August 2008. (County).
